Barton L. Boyd (Bart) is a lifelong resident of Cobb County. Bart was born at Kennestone Hospital, attended Joseph Wheeler High School. Bart went on to attend Young Harris College, Georgia Southern University (B.S., 1994) and Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management (Executive Program, 2011).
Following Georgia Southern University, Bart started a career in the construction aggregate industry with Vulcan Materials Company. Having worked in various roles of increasing responsibility, Bart worked as Vice President and General Manager of Vulcan’s Georgia Operations, overseeing a quarter billion dollars in revenue derived from 24 quarry operations and 12 ready mix operations, before leaving in July 2016. Bart is currently Principal of Georgia Stone Products. Bart’s other professional/entrepreneurial accomplishments include the development and subsequent sale of two businesses in Georgia and Tennessee as well as participating as a member of the Board of Directors for the Polk County Chamber of Commerce.
Bart, his wife, Melissa and their three children, McKenna, Perrin and Braedon (14, 12, 11), reside in Kennesaw, Georgia where they are members of North Metro Church and the children attend Mt. Paran Christian School.
